My heater core was replaced a year ago. I've had no problems with it thus far. I've had to repair a lot of other things since then. Anyway, it's started leaking a little coolant every time I run the heater(not much). It's gotten progressively worse and also, the coolant light comes on and stays on. What the heck?

If it's leaking inside car, then the heater core is bad, otherwise leak is in engine compartment.
