1995 Pontiac Grand Am intermittant abs brake light

abs brake light comes on at startup sometimes goes off other times stays on, brake pads, rear shoes and all other mechanical parts ok. could it be relay or front speed sensors ?

Check wheel speed sensor electrical connections at each wheel, look for loose connector.

Otherwise, have ABS system scanned. Most autoparts can only scan "P" (Powertrain) codes, ABS codes are "C" chassis codes and you will have to go to a trusted garage or dealer to get it scanned.
