Ok...so I am thinkin of buying this car for a cheap price. He told me something is wrong with the breaks so I tried to take it for a test drive. Well when I took it; it rode well but when I tried to ease to a stop it was more like a sudden stop and lock of the breaks. I couldnt just ease to a stop. I am wondering if I buy this car is that break problem gonna cost me way to much to fix. I am a single dad so every dollar I can keep in my pocket right now helps.

Take car to a mechanic and have the brakes inspected, could be as simple as a bad rotor, but could be an ABS problem, calipers, suspension damage.

It will cost you some money for inspection, but at least you will know what you are getting into.

Used cars are sold "as is" so if you buy car and have a major expense to repair, you would have no recourse with seller.
