Engine Performance problem
1994 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi there,
2 min after I start my engine it comes "check engine soon". I took the car for diagnostic and the guy from the shop told me that according his scanner my problem is "lean exhaust".
What could be that. I checked all vacuum lines and everything seems to be ok. While driving the car - no problem.
Please, help me!

Hello, I'd want to see what the o2 sensor is doing? Open and close the throttle quickly, while watching the o2 sensor reading, there should be a reaction. If the sensor is showing lean, I try to drive it rich, to get a reaction.

I just replaced the O2 sensor with a new one and that solved the problem- no more "check engine soon" or other problems.
