1994 Pontiac Grand Am failed insp. for toe play

can you tell me what to look for to fix this problem, ie, inner tie rod, outer tie rod, struts, or ball joints, cant think of any thing else, out of those things i listed what would most likely be the coulprit

I think you have a pretty good start with what you have listed. The first thing I would look at would be the ball joints. Make sure the bushings haven't failed, also make sure that the crown nuts on the ball joints (if they have them) are still on and tight. If all of these things are ok I would move on to the tie rods. Again checking for basically the same things. Hope this helps a little bit. Good Luck
