2006 Pontiac G6 Water pump

I have the GTP 3.9l SFI engine and my water pump blew. Do I have to remove the strut and lower the wheel in order to get to the water pump? Is there anything else I would have to remove to get to the water pump?

have to remove the air cleaner, intake manifold cover, engine mount strut. rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise to release tensioner spring tension then remove the drive belt. after all is removed, this will give access to water pump.
