Engine Performance problem
2006 Pontiac G6 Automatic 55xxx miles
okay, here's the argument between my girlfriend and i. i've always been told and taught that you always need to do an oil change every 3,000 mi or every 3 months whichever comes first. she believes or has been told that its every 5,000 mi. now i can agree with her if its every 5,000 mi because her car is new or perhaps she rarely ever drives the car or something like that. but she said something about its every 5,000 mi. now, because something about the oil today has changed to where you can do it every 5,000 mi. is there any truth to this or have i been left out of the loop of this new info somewhere?
