1996 Pontiac Firebird 6cyl. 130kmi 104k on engine.
a few weeks ago while stopped at a light my car began to shake, the light turned so i gave it some gas and the car became more rough and hesitant a few seconds later it stopped and surged foward. 5 or 6 days later i started it up at home and it was having the same problem, after a couple minutes it stopped. then a week later it started again with a slight burning smell as i was coming home, i parked shut it off added some oil started it back up but there was no change and i could see some smoke coming from the passenger side of the enginge. my only thought was that maybe i blew a head gasket? thank you for any advice/suggestions - John
