fuel pump relay location

Hello, no there isn't one. If you have a fuel issue, check fuel pressure. If you turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run for a couple of seconds? If not check the fuel pump relay here is a guide and the location of the relay.

Hello, no we cant here the fuel pump run. was hoping it wasn't the fuel pump, just bought the car for one of my teenage daughters, (twins), had to replace the tranny, got that done was driving to the gas station, acted like it ran out of gas, put gas in and now it wont start.

You might check the circuits at the fuel pump relay. My info says it is located under the dash, driver side, behind kick panel.

I got three sons, within two years of age, two of them are twins. They are in their mid 20s now. All the boys worked part time through highschool. The twins pooled their money for their first car, shared it for a while.

The firebird should have a fuel pump prime connector, underhood, passenger side firewall, probably a gray wire with electrical connector, nothing plugged into connector. If you run B+ to the connector, the pump should run, you don't have to use the key. I probably should tell you to use an inline fuse on the jumper, run it between the prime connector and positive battery post. If the pump won't run, you'll have to check B+ and ground at the pump connector.

They have a 95 thunderbird that they share and we picked the firebird cheap but had to replace the tranny. I cant tell u how much I apperciate your help, im Just trying to get them set up for success. I will pass the info to my hubby and let you know what happens. Thank, Fawn

Hello, it was the fuel pump, we cut a hole in the top above the fuel tank, and replaced it, took about 2 hrs instead of dropping the tank out, worked out great, I found out that the fuel pump in those cars when run dry a few times burns them out. Its all good now! thanks for your help,

1995 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello guys,
I removed the kick panel on the driver's side and believe I got the fuel pump relay, grey box, P&B VF28-31F14-Z01, is that the right one? I was told the fuel pump is going out by a mechanic and another told me to check the relay first. Car has trouble staying running, dies while driving, etc.

Should I do something else or am I giving way too little info? Thanks for this site by the way, I appreciate any help at all.

On the 3.8L the Fp relay is in position N in the relay center

IS there an alternative to replacing an in tank fuel pump on a 1995 Firebird--I was told it was an $800.00 job.

Well, if the pump is out you have to change it. The pump is all one unit in the tank and some of them are crazy high. I dont know if the 800 is labor parts or both. I would suggest try and find a friend that knows some mechs and help you do it yourself wish you were in kansas we are alot cheaper where i work. Sorry???? Curt

When I crank the engine it sounds like I'm out of gas and won't turn over to start. I have a full tank, so I know it's not the gas. I changed the fuel filter, but still won't start. Could it be anything other than the fuel pump? How do I test the Fuel Pump Rely?

Hello, if the vehicle cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. If you have both, use a gage and check fuel pressure.

There should be a fuel pump prime connector, behind the battery, gray wire with connector, nothing plugged into it. Use jumper wire with inline fuse, run voltage to the connector, the pump should run. You don't have to use the key.
