Yes, you could possibly have a failed lock up switch. But the problem is, those OBD I computers aren't so good with monitoring the trannys.
You could have your computer scanned during a drive test, but that won't guarantee you'll find the trouble.
If you're not experienced with tranny diagnostics, you'll have to take it into a shop. Because trannys aren't like engines (they don't have several sensors to monitor all of the functions), so most likely it'll have to be torn down. Sorry.
