My 1994 Pontiac Firebird formula v-8 with 157000 miles is overheating during the day when it is hot out and I am in traffic. The low coolant and check engine light is on. I check the check engine with computer and it says it has a coolant level sensor not working. Is this the cause of my car overheating? In the morning it does not overheat in 65 degree weather but in 85degree weather it does.

Determine if the fan even runs first off and then deal with the sensor. You can check the fan by connecting it straight to the battery.
