Hi I have a 1990 firebird with a 3.1L and have been having problems with it backfireing and not wanting to accelerate when warm. I've replace the cap 3 times because it was corroted but this time it isn't and I have chaged the rotor, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires. Don't know what else to do HELP PLEASE!!!! Also when it is running somewhat decent and I take off to fast it makes a hard hitting noise that sounds like the rear end is going to break off.
