Electrical problem
1971 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 71 Firebird, 455 motor, with an HEI distributor. The fresh motor has about 6,000 miles on it. It runs perfect, no mises, very strong. I have had to replace the ignition module twice since I fired it up. Both times are the same. It was running fine when I parked it at night, and in the morning, no spark. I use the dielectric grease under it, and all the wiring is new and fresh with the rebuild. The battery is new and alternator is charging fine. The only thing I can figure out is that it is getting hot. What should I check next?
