1986 Pontiac Fiero help! broken sparkplug aaaahhhhhh

how do you get a broken spark plug out? there is nothing to grab a hold of with a socket. its a 86 se with a 2.8 v6. was siting for 5yrs the front three plugs came out ok but the back plugs were so bad i had to pick around them with many tools and shop vac to clean around them to get a socket to fit in the hole. never seen plugs this bad any ways the last one broke and i hear or have read to use a easy out. but i do know what that is nor how to use one. looking for any knowledge on this i can pick up thanks.

Yes, EZOUT is the best solution. They are similar to a twist drill, except the twist is in reverse. As you rotate the EZOUT counterclockwise, it grips the thread boss more tightly.

As an aid to the process, you should spray the thread area with Liquid Wrench or some light penetrating oil. Let it set for 20 minutes before trying to unloosen the broken part.

The EZOUT should be a size that will fit into the hole and engage about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. If you contact the piston, you can rotate the engine, often by pressing on a v-belt and tugging on the fan, or just bump the engine with the starter. Make sure you have clearance for the EZOUT so that it cannot contact the piston.

Insert a small diameter screwdriver into the hole to see how far down the piston is from the top of the cylinder. As long as it is past 2 inches you will have plenty of clearance for the EZOUT.
