Fuel Pump

There should be an access panel in the trunk, towards the front/under the carpet

I drove the car for about two months with it dying randomly and starting back up with no problem. Then all of the sudden it dies in walmart parking lot and wont start back. Then engine cranks fine.. Im no master mechanic but I know the basics of cars so my first thought was the fuel pump.. I listened for it to kick on and it didn't. Hit it with some starting fluid and it fired up for a few seconds.. So that told me it was the fuel pump.. However I wanted to check the fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse before investing in this fuel pump.. Thats where i am having a problem the fuse is not labeled on FUEL or F/P and Neither is the relay.. Can anybody pin point the exact location of these two.. And let me say this dont know if it has anything to do with it or not but the Windows quit rolling down at the same time. Im pretty confident its the fuel pump just want to check these two things before i invest a 150$ in a fuel pump...

Lets try testing the relay use the post above. can you hear the fuel pump come on for five seconds when you turn the key on without cranking the engine over?

1997 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

1997 pontiac bonneville fuel pump quit working (no power) so did all the usual home checks and replaced pump and filter and still no power not sure what to do dont know which relay is for the fuel pump there is 5 on the rail could not figure out what fuse was for relay. please help.

Check fuse no.6 20amp, the fuel pump relay is located behind right side of dash, on dash relay center.

which relay is it there are five? no. 6 under ther hood or inside car?

Fuse no.6 is in the I/P power distribution box

I/P power distribution box ??? not sure where this is i found fuses by the relays but they were all 40 and 60 amp only 2 fuses inside car were 20 amp in fuse box and they had nothing to do with fuel pump?

Check the right I/P power distribution center its labeled fuel pump fuse no.6 it shouild be right beside the PCM fuse no. 8 20 amp.
