A mechanic has replaced the cv axle on this 98 bonn.
an then the hub bearing assembly. Now the noise is worst than ever. Could different gear ratio axles accidently be installed on this vechicle.

Hello,

The CV Axles don't come by Gear Ratio. That is all the transmission. One thing that could happen is that the Axle is not completely locked into the tranny. Or it is possible, and doesn't happen often but you may have gotten a defective Axle.

.

I suggest taking it back and have them check it out.

Thanks,I did take it back and it seems that the origin of the noise is not the same as at first. He installed an axle om the other side, however the car is not right. My first comment to the mechanic was that the axle instaaled the first time was no good. Thanks for clarifing the wrong part would not fit.
