Engine Performance problem
1995 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Automatic 168K miles

Hi,
I have a 1995 Bonneville (not supercharge) and recently (past 2-3 days) the heat has started blowing out only cool air, and while driving the temperature gauge will fluctuate between 200 and the notch right above the red "over heating zone" (sorry i dont know what temp that is!!) BUT NEVER OVERHEATS. Ive checked the coolant levels and everything is normal to my knowledge. Is there any other explanation for this problem?

I would change the thermostat. Usually if your thermostat is bad there won't be any heat, and your car will get hot. it's a fairly inexpensive part also.
