1995 Pontiac Bonneville High beams won't work

Hello,
I have a 1995 pontiac bonneville SE and the high beams won't engage. I've been able to take a couple things off the steering wheel column and can see a metal rod which I can push to activate the highs. I really need to find out what part connects the end of that rod to the multifunction blinker lever. An image would also be great since I don't know what it is supposed to look like. Thnaks...
