A little over a month ago my check exhaust system light came on for a day and went back off. Today as I was driving I came off the interstate and my car hitched for a second. After a couple of miles thick smoke started coming out of the exhaust pipe. I have been told that it could be a bad egr valve or an intake manifold gasket. I havent taken it to a mechanic yet though. Does anyone have an opinion on what my problem could be?
