Heater problem
1992 Pontiac Bonneville V8 128000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I HAVE A STRONG BLOWER MOTOR, AND NO WATER IN THE FLOOR OR WINDSHIELD. I WAS TOLD I NEED A FAN SWITCH, BUT THAT THIS WOULD NOT FIX THE HEAT. THE HEAT IS GOING SOMEWHERE BUT CANT SEEM TO GET BACK IN, ITS COLD AIR INSIDE. SOMEONE GOOLGED IT FOR ME, I THINK ITS NOT THE BRAIN BOX, BUT I WAS TOLD IT MIGHT BE A COMPRESSON HOSE, A DOOR NOT OPENING, A HEATER CORE AND CANT REMEMBER WHAT ELSE. HOW DO I LOOK UP WHAT IT COULD BE. THANKS MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND HAPPY NEW YR.

check you heater hoses for heat, just touch them to see. If they are both hot to the touch you likely have a bad blend door actuator, assuming your control module is good. If only one gets hot you've got a clogged heater core. Before you replace the actuator chec with a voltmeter to make sure its getting voltage to open the door when you switch it. If its getting no power to the actuator its probably the module (switch panel).
