1985 Pontiac Bonneville Engine Hesitation

I was trying to cross a 2 lane intersection and the car died in the middle of the road. normally it just starts across then hesitates for a second then starts across again. I've replaced the Pcv valve, the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, and the fuel filter. I've also re-adjusted the idle on it and still nothing. It doesn't have a catalytic converter on it either. Please get back to me asap. I have an idea that may result in me replacing the fuel pump but i don't know. I also replaced the distributor cap and rotor button.
