Noises problem
2001 Pontiac Aztek 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello
when I turn on my heater or A/C anywhere from low to high I hear a ticking noise. I narrowed it down to my blower motor. When I remove the blower motor and let it run outside its housing no noise. But as I put it back in the housing I hear a ticking noise. Its not a vibration noise. You hear it mainly when its on low, you can hear it faintly on high but usually the blower motor and air going through the vents drown out the ticking. I cleaned out the air cabin filters thinking it was a leaf or something. I also put my hand up the housing and felt around, there is no stick or anything that would hit the blower motor to cause that ticking. Not sure what it could be.

Everything you did is what I would have done. Are you sure a wire isn't touching the fan?
