My 90 pontiac le6000 v6 FWD, 111,000 mi. wont shift into any gear. I went out tonight, started it no problem,heard no strange noises but when I went to shift steering column into D gear it wouldnt engage. There was no resistance and it just slid through all the gears...yikes. Checked fliuds, all ok.
Just spend major$$$ fixing things for inspection and got inspection sticker friday. She ran fine all day today but tonight she wont go into gear. Heard all kind of things like could be broken cable linkage etc.
Can I get car towed when locked in park gear and also what could it possible be and approx. how much(ball park) to fix. Someone said FWD steering cable problems are $$$$$ to fix. Need help and suggestions please.
