My Pontiac 6000 doesn't blow cold when I turn on the A/C. It blows lukewarm air, not hot, but lukewarm and sometimes a little chilly, but nothing near what A/C feels like. I know it could either be that it needs a recharge(if it'll take the charge) or a new compressor.
Through his auto parts job, my Dad can get a new compressor at his employee price for $150 for my Pontiac. Since I'd be providing the part, how much could I expect to be charged for labor? I'm most likely going to take it to a mom and pop shop so that I don't get ripped off at a major franchise chain. Thanks for your help.
