PO446 Evap code

My niece wrecked her car and I had to do a lot of work to it getting it back on the road. I have gotten everything back together, replaced, etc, but at first for some reason the key would not start the car, so I wired her up a start button, works perfectly, the car runs and drives great but the po446 evap code is on.I have turned it off several times but it keeps coming back. Is there a way to just unhook the evap system to get the light off, or a easy and inexpensive way to fix it? How can I fix it?It is all ready for inspection except that one code is stopping us/ Please help me with this. Could it be tied into the reason as to why the key would not start the car as well? I have looked through everything and cannot figure it out, had it been a 1980's or 1990's Mustang or Camaro, things would be so much easier. lol Thanks for any help

No that is part of the diagnostics system. what part of the car was damaged in the crash? Also did this code happen right after the crash?

The damage was just basically the drivers side front. I replaced the struts, the front stabilizer bar, front brakes, front rotors, and had to replace the battery, the starter, tie rod ends, and control arms. I never really did anything with the engine except change the starter. after i got everything put back together and the car was ready to go, this light came on, now I cannot get it inspected. If you need to know anything else, just let me know.

Above the starter is the evaporator canister purge solenoid it should have to hoses going to it. You probably unhooked the top hose. Let me know what you find.

I checked that, the hose was connected, I followed it to the top of the engine to like a rubber piece that hooks where air goes through the throttle body, but there is a hose that goes for the valve cover to the air intake hose, it was deteriorated and cracked, I don't know if that could have been the cause being a vacuum leak.

That is the PCV hose has nothing to do with that code.

The hose to the evap canister purge solenoid makes the most sense did you inspect the hose that goes back towards the firewall from that solenoid?

I did, The hose looks to be fine, but it does slide on very easily as if maybe it could has a small leak, it doesn't fit snug or anything, just loosely slides on

Those can get loose the rubber expands over time
