Hi,
I have a 96 Plymouth grand voyager, 260K 3.0L, I need to warm up the van for about 15 min before do anything otherwise I will have an engine surging, speedometre goes crazy, it fells like the transmition doesn't work properly, check engine light is on now.But if i drive for more than 30 min, the driving is almost without any problem. no slipping in the gears, no problem with the speedometre.
i did the test for the MIL code....and showed me 21: oxygen sensor.
my question is: the replacement of the O2 sensor will fix the hole nightmare or my trany needs to be fix it as well??? what about the speedometre?
(I made a full tune up 1 month ago)
thx

At that miliage there is a greater chance of multiple problems. Start by addressing the oxygen sensor. That should take care of the extended warm up period (and help fuel economy). See what symptoms are there afterwards..if any. The caravan/voyagers do have their transmission issues, but a code typically sets related to them.
