1999 Plymouth Voyager System flushing

I recently had a new A/C Compressor installed due to the previous one finally dying. The new one worked fine for a couple of weeks and then also failed. The mechanic has told me that it was a faulty compressor and that was why it started jamming. Could this second failure have been caused by the system not being flushed prior to the fitting? Should I also replace the Condensor as well as getting a flush done. It is starting to get expensive so I would like to know the recommendation with regards to the process before I buy another new compressor and hand it over to the mechanic.
