does it take any special tools to change the front passenger side wheel bearings on this car?

No special tools required, other than a big 'ol wrench and maybe a cheater pipe for the axle nut. Well, also, depending on your latitude, winter salt and therefore rust, you might need a puller to free the axle splines from the hub. A little light tapping on the end of the axle is OK, but don't overdo it. There are four 15 mm bolts holding the hub and bearing on the back of the steering knuckle. Take care not to damage the axle boot and clamp.
