Heater problem
1998 Plymouth Voyager

The blower motor is not working properly. It was only working on the high speed, so I changed the resistor (the old resistor was fried). Then it started working strongly through the speed changes except it sometimes wouldn't start on its own or work on the lowest setting. It needed somebody to reach up inside the housing and start the spinning. Within months it stopped working at all. I pulled it out of the housing and after some time it starts working through the high speeds again but when I install it it bogs down. It only installs one way properly. I have two old fans, same problem with either one. Fan Relay? Brand new fan? Switch on dash? Short? Any ideas? Thanks.

I'd probably use jumper wires for voltage and ground at the blower connector. Use an inline fuse, if the blower runs it may be ok? I have seen faulty blower motors run intermittently.
