1998 Plymouth Voyager Two Wheel Drive Automatic 279114 miles

I have a 1998 plymouth grand voyager. I recently took it to my mechanic for a bcm replacement. I got the car back home and the following day i went to unlock the door and the alarm sounded on it, i didnt know the car had an alarm because it never was there until the bcm was replaced. everytime i get to my car to open the door the alarm sounds and the car will start but shut off shortly after. There is no remote to turn the car off and i have tried putting the key in the ignition, doors, hatch and so on and so forth but nothing turns the alarm off. what do i do now? my mechanic will not do anything about it, he has been ignoring me since the repair.

Need to determine if its an after market system that had been activated upon the disconnection and reconnection of the battery
check under driver side panel on the sides for an after market type of small switch
turn key on push the switch or cycle it ,turn key off and then start that should deactivate the alarm
also in some cases you can try this
open one of the window
turn ignition to on open hood
close doors
disconnect battery wait a few and reconnect
some times that work too
good luck
