Thanks for your help, but the only thing that I see is a 3 wire plastic connector(not 2 wires) left and below the alternator, connected to a little round metal piece. I tried pulling on it, but it won't budge. I'm afraid that I will break the line. Is this the right connector and how do I get it off?

I purchased the above vehicle 2 weeks ago. According to the Haynes manual, in order to put R-134 in, you have to place a jumper on the low pressure cycling switch, if the ac compressor is not running. It does not show where the switch is and what it looks like. Can any body tell me where it is and what it looks like.

Hi George,

Ok, are you sure that it is low on freon? If you are and since the system is empty or empty enough that the compressor wont come on you can before starting the vehicle hook up your hose to the low side and then start the vehicle and open the can once system is full enough the compressor will kick in then just fill it till the gauge reads correct pressure.

I have done this many time with no problems.
