History: mother-in-laws van sat up for a year with blown up tranny. Replaced tranny. Tranny works well. While sitting in idle in driveway no problems. Going on test drives to test out tranny drove 10 miles fine went to slow down and engine stalled. Would not refire. After some research replaced idle air control. IAC was carboned up to the point it would not move. Engine ran smoother in idle tried to run up rpm's in driveway and then let off to reproduce result. Van didnt stall. IAC worked because when sitting in idle and turn ob AC the tach "caught up" to normal rpm. Test drive--Same result occurred--went to turn around after 10 miles and van stalled and wouldn't refire. Smelled like engine was running rich. EGR was replaced next. Visual inspection of old EGR was all catches up and don't see how it would open or close. Ran
smoother after replacement. Drive test was able to go the 10 miles turn around--stalled when turning on the street to the house. Pulled codes-O2 sensor popped up. Changed O2 and made the 10 mile trip and van stalled pulling into driveway. One thing I didn't mention in the beginning is I did pull codes before starting all this and only got a cooling fan circuit fault. The fans were hooked up directly the entire time
