....Mileasge 149512 Replaced MAP Sensor & reset computer
.....May 24, 2010....Failed State of Arizona emissions test...Gas Cap 1 Failed.Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) status: COMMANDED ON: FAIL; P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem
.....Mileage 151340..Plymouth Dealer did B24 clockspring recall. Car would stall while driving and restart itself. Other time I had to restart it but it always restarted. Performed Diagnostic test: Caused by P0340 CAM SENSOR SIGNAL-INTERMITTANT DIAG TEST. Replaced with new fuel cap.
....Mileage 151387..My independant auto repair shop performed tune-up replacing spark plugs & ignition wires, cam position sensor. Reset computer and Oil & Filter change.
.....Have failed emissions Retest from 06/05/10 mileage 151,455 five times. Just failed today 6/15/10, mileage 152,086. I've driven car total of 699 miles and it hasn't reset. Of that total I had interstate trip of 225 miles rd trip, 4 smaller highway segments of 25 miles
MY QUESTION: I'm told by the Plymouth dealership since my check engine light is now off it will eventually reset itself and everything is OK. I notice now occasionally it jerks as if the engine timing might be off dor a split second. Can you offer any helpful comments? I've spent over $700. and more than enough to get an Arizona emissions waiver but have only failed once and need to fasil it twice. The 5 recent times I've not passed isn't a reject but they say system "NOT READY" THANKS FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN HELP WITH. Chuck
