1996 Plymouth Voyager new pcm vin insertion

I just instelled a new power train control module in my Daugter's van. The store where we bought it loaned us a scanner to insert the vin in the new pcmso that it will know the accessorys and modules in must deal with. (Actron CP9175) The problem is that there is no mention of this prodecure anywhere in the manual or on any of the menu's. I am an old school mechanic with little OBD11 knowledge and sure could use your help
