made a pop sound then i lost all power?

i have a 96 plymouth grand voyager it made a pop sound then i lost all power. took it to a mechanic they said it was the cam and crank sensor put new ones on and it wasnt the problem. took it to the dealer they said it was the fly wheel it was not that either. so then they said it was the computer put in a new one and guess what thats not the problem either. it cranks like it wants to start but it just will not kick over. do you have any ideas on what it may possibly be. thanks

That is a tough one, but before they replace anything else, I would suggest checking the timing belt. The 3.0L has a belt. If it hasn't been replaced for a long time, it may have jumped time. That could have made a noise and the power loss, and now the no start.

What needs to be done is belt inspection and timing mark inspection. If that is something that you are uncomfortable doing, then there are two other checks you can perform.

If timing is off, the intake and exhaust valves will not be in the optimum closed position on a compression stroke. Therefore, you can perform a compression test to determine if it is low. Here is a link that shows in general how it's done:

If you look at pic 1 below, it provides the directions specific to this vehicle and what compression specifications should be expected.

Also, you can remove the timing belt cover and confirm the timing marks are properly aligned. If you look at pic 2 below, I highlighted where the timing marks are on the sprockets and their indicators on the engine.
