I have a 1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 115000 miles on it. When it is driven in the city, it has no problems with the transmission. But, if it is driven on the highway, at speeds above 50 mph, it does not want to shift properly. It seems as if it might be stuck in third gear. When you go over 50, it will hit 4500 rpm and continue to climb as you gain speed. I am not exactly sure where to start with this problem. I know that these vans are known for tranny problems, but I do not want to have to replace the tranny. Any guideline would be much appreciated.
