I have a engine that is contuniously overheating. I Installed a 160 degree thermostat, new radiator, hoses everything. I did notice when it overeheated last and anti freeze spewed on the maniforld, the motor was running and it has some liquid in the manifold it was bubbling a lot. I assume the new gasket I installed on the manifold was not installed right and is leaking. But will this leak cause the engine to overheat and stay on the hot side. It took about 20 minutes last time for it to overheat.

If the system is clean, and no clogs in the circulation, then the next thing I would have done was a compression check done on each cylinder. It may be a blown head gasket.

Don't overlook rotted and crumbling cooling fins between the tubes of the radiator.

check between the radiator and the a/c evarapotor and see if there is a build up of junk between the two that would limit the amount of air able to go through the radiator.
