Hi, glad to have found you guys....I am trying to fix this car and I am going out of my mind....the car starts and then stalls immediatley. I disconnect the map sensor and it idles very low and stumbles, when I plug in the map sensor it sucks hard through the throttle body and then stalls. it is getting fuel and spark and timing belt is tight the vacume is at about 14 lbs. when the car died it was running fine shut it off and a few hours later it would not start it blew a few fire balls out of the throttle body and when you pump the s**t out of it it will run for a few seconds or just bog out...changed computer,tbs,map,idle control,injector,pressure regulator,pick up coil,cap,rotor and plug wires.......please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it I am going out of my mind (no codes to indicate a problem) thank you.

If you unplugged any sensor and ran the engine, it should have set a code. The cel won't flash any codes, even if purposely try to set a code, no codes?

Maybe your way ahead of me, but, you should have tested the wiring circuits before replacing anything.
If you think it is the map sensor, check the wiring circuits. If you turn on the key, ref voltage is around 4 volts. The ground is black/lite blue, the signal wire is dark green/red, The wire for the ref voltage, vio/whit. A lot of sensors share the same ground and some share the same ref voltage.

A lot of sensors share the same ground and some share the same ref voltage.[/quote:97c1e55e48]sorry let me re-phrase my code statment (only when I unplug a sensor do I get a code......first code I got was at initial break down and it was the tps range voltage ....I cleared all of the codes and now only get the battery disconnect code.....I will start by checking the circuit voltage and see what happens (I guess I turn into a meatball head sometimes and jump the gun) thank you for your advice (every sensor unpluged triggered a code) not sure if that says anything or not but I will check the voltege and see what it says

That's good news, that the computer will react, set a code for unplugged sensor.

O.K so my voltage to the m.a.p sensor is 5 volts, now if I UN-plug it the car will start after a few tries and then idles like it is on life support (no power or throttle) if I plug it back in the car dies and then will restart with the same symptoms, If I try to increase rpm it stalls (I have tried two other m.a.p sensors from the wreckers and no change in symptoms. I have also tried to UN-plug other sensors and all trigger a code in relation to my actions, I had a friend recomend that I check the timing belt so I did and all is good and in line.vacume reads out at approx 14-16 lbs.....when I try to start it it fires up instantly and then dies almost like it is not getting gas but gas is present in the throttle body any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check for vacuum at the map sensor? What is the voltage at the map signal wire, not the ref voltage?

I have good vacume to the m.a.p sensor. What should the signal voltage be? I will check and see what I am getting. thanks again,

Key on engine off, around 5 volts on the signal wire. Engine running around a volt.
