i just bought my reliant 10 days ago and my heater is acting up it will only blow hot air out when accelerating what could be causing this and how would i go about fixing it?

2 things, the water pump may be worn, and the head gasket may be leaking. These were the two biggest reasons this would occur if the core is not clogged.
Fixing the cars climate control is sometimes very expensive.
