Headlights stay on 1992 Pymouth Sundance

My son has a 1992 Plymouth Sundance and the headlights stay on all the time. Whenever he stops, he has to disconnect the battery. We have changed the lights off/on switch, no change, no obvious bare wires evident. Suggestions

my brother was having the same thing on his 95 ram. The day time running lights would stay on after he turned them off and after the truck had turned off. Not all the lights would stay on, just the day time running lights.
it turned out that there was a problem with one of sensors for the anti lock brakes. I do not know how the daytime running lights and the braking system were connected but the sensor was replaced and that was lights out.
