My car gets hot and the fan does not cut on unless i turn on the heat. I got a relay switch, but I cant find it on the car to replace it.

may I ask if the engine cool does the fan still come on ?
if so you may have a switch or relay problem
but what u said about being hot then the fan should be running to cool off and I think you need to be looking for the cause that making it run hot
like a thermostat for start
