Having regular problems with the heater. Most recently it's been over heating the engine, but the inside of the car will not heat. Defrost doesn't work.

Already added new antifreeze and now I'm thinking of replacing the thermostat. It acts like it's sticking.

Where is the thermostat located and is it difficult to do at home? (Should I take it to a service station?)

Hi:
It is easy to replace. If you follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, it will stop and be attached to the t-stat housing. Drain the radiator, remove the upper hose, remove the housing, and under it is the t-stat. Pay attention to the direction it is pointing to replace the new one in the same direction. Reverse the procedure to put it back together.

If you have problems or questions, let me know.
