1968 Other Plymouth Models ignition system

Ok here goes I have a 1968 roadrunner, it keeps discharging runs battery down, replaced the module on the fire wall, I didnt locate the voltage reulator until later,

I replaced the alt and battery at the same time, also it indicates discharge on the dash gauge about 2-3 marks to left just when the key is turned on,

The bypass condesor block at one point I throtled it up it backfired through carb and that spark from one of the connectors?

When I replaced the module on the firewall it never fired agian the old one had 5 holes in it the new has 6 that matches the plug,

How can I find the ground If thats what the case might be, I have disccented things with the battery disconnected and turn the switch on to see if it still goes stratight too discharge, also it wouldnt fire exactly when the switch was all the way to the left It wanted to fire right as it was at the on posistion so I put a flip switch on it

So I just turn the key and flip the switch,

The more I do the worst it gets,

I have no meters to test anything and cant get any I have do it manual and old shcool,

Can you please help me, engine is 440 came out with 383 though,
