1998 Plymouth Neon Noises from Clutch Area

There are noises coming from the clutch area on my wife's 1998 Neon. The clutch still works but it sounds like it needs to be tightened. How do I go about tightening a clutch on a 1998 Plymouth Neon. My experience level is that I can use the tools but don't all the parts of the vehicle.

It is a hydraulic system no adj. Is noise there only when pedal depressed?

No not when the pedal is depressed, however when starting off in first gear the noise is present. Please be advised that this is a 5 speed manual transmission. Is there any fluid that I should probably check.

Check fluid fill plug on side trans just above drivers side axle. Is noise only there in 1st.
