I have a 1996 Plymouth Breeze 2.0L Automatic with 158800 miles. My question is this....it makes a wooring sound when it starts and gets louder as I accelerate. The car has been wrecked in the front end and repaired. I've had problems with power steering in the past but haven't had problems lately. I replaced the alternator thinking that was the problem, but it is still whining and seems to be a little louder now. Would the belt be causing this or maybe the air conditioning pulley? a friend mentioned bearings? As a female I have some knowledge in cars, but sure could use some help on this one! :?
