running issue

i have a97 ply breeze with 120,000 miles it starts and idles fine but when you go to give it gas it dies it had no fuel pressure so i put in a new pump now it runs but has that issue thankx mike

the next thing i would look at is the catalyitic convertor. it will cause your engine to bog down and stall if it's plugged up. it will idle fine, but as soon as you accellerate it'll either try to shut off or SHUT OFF. look to see if it's clogged up. the cat convertor is part of your exhaust, look to see if it glows cherry red from the cat up to your manifold. listen for exhaust trying to excape from the manifold also. hope this helps
