My air bag light recently came on. I checked the fuse panel and found a blown fuse. What could have caused this? I had the battery unhooked for some time then I hooked it back up. Could that have caused a surge? Also, if I replace the fuse, will the air bag blow up in my face?

Unhooking the battery wont cause a fuse to blow.Something in the system must have shorted to cause the fuse to pop. No, replacing the fuse wont cause the bag to go off.I do suggest having the system scanned ASAP to get it working again and see why the fuse popped
