1999 Plymouth Breeze

I was driving my car a few days ago and it died as I came up to the light. It coasted through the intersection and I had to have it pushed into a parking lot. My dad and I borrowed a coder machine from the local auto store. The machine said that there was an intermittent loss of either the Camshaft or Crankshaft and that it needed either a new sensor or new timing chain. What is the estimated cost of that? I am a college student and can not really afford a lot in repairs but I need my car to get to campus and work.
