I havea 98 plymouth breeze with 2.0 motor, I replaced the starter with a "rebuilt" one and one day it left me stranded , I was towed home and took the starter out and took it to autozone to have it checked, they ran a check on it said it was fine, so I came home and started checking fuses, I found out the 20 amp fuse was blown so I replaced it and reinstalled the starter. The car started fine, so I shut it off and tried it again with nothing. I checked the fuse again and it was fine!, so then I again...removed teh starter and took it back to autozone. They said the starter failed and gave me a new "rebuilt" hunk. I reinstalled it and it started right up. I shut the car off and then tried to start it again and nothing. The 20 amp fuse is fine however the solenoid is crap again. What could be causing the solenoid to short out however not blowing the fuse? Could it be a faulty starter and relay to begin with? Help please, I'm sick and tired of installing and taking out this starter! Thanks in advanced!

You are probably just getting poor quality rebuilds from there. If it happens again i would get a refund and try a starter from somewhere else.
