My car is a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim, with approx 100000 miles, or close to it. Automatic. My car kinda shimmys on while accelerating to highway speeds, and when i start, it makes a weird thumping sound, which i suspect to be that my exaust pipe is loose. My car burns oil * put 2 qts in about a month ago, and it has turned much darker, even though i dont drive much, like 20 miles a day every other day.

I am getting ready to trade in because it has a very weak starting engine, and i have to stomp on the accelerator and start it to get it running. What are some things i could do relatively easily to get as much for my car as i can?

Ty for any and all help.

Turning back the odometer is illegal, so there isnt really much you can do to pump up the value of a 91 Plymouth......it is what it is
